What this data means — and how to use it
A split doesn't change value
A 2:1 split doubles share count and halves the price — your total value is unchanged. Splits affect optics and accessibility, not fundamentals.
Forward vs. reverse
A forward split (e.g. 4:1) lowers the share price; a reverse split (e.g. 1:10) raises it, often to maintain a listing requirement. The ratio tells you which.
Historical prices get adjusted
After a split, charts and historical prices are typically adjusted so the series stays continuous. Unadjusted data can look like a sudden gap.

Track what happens after the split.
The splits calendar is free. The Gilmer research terminal adds what matters next — post-split performance tracking and the security research to understand why a name is splitting.
